Tamarind Soup Party

My two kids graduated recently from elementary (Mario) and preschool (Isco). After the ceremonies, we invited family members over for a dinner of tamarind soup.

Tamarind soup (a.k.a. sinigang) is my kids' favorite dish of all time. We could have this daily, if they have their way.

This could be prepared with vegetables and whatever meat one fancies. Thus, for the tamarind soup 'bar' (akin to salad bar, pasta bar, etc), I prepared a bowl each of bangus (milkfish), prawns:

and pork liempo:

plus a plateful of vegetables (okra, eggplant, gabi root, radish, string beans, kangkong, long chili and tomatoes):

As a side dish, I also made binukadkad na tilapia (crispy fried tilapia - butterfly style):

Yum yum yum.
