cheesecake at Astoria Plaza
This is the blueberry cheesecake of Astoria Plaza... Oooh, so good.
The twist in it that is different (at least from what I make) is the chocolate sprinkles on the side and the drizzle of chocolate syrup on the plate before it was placed there. The chocolate added the touch of bitterness that blends well and balances the sweetness of the blueberry dazzled on top.
The cheesecake itself is also exquisite with lots of creamcheese (not much gelatin).
However, the bummer in this is the hard-rock crust at the bottom.
A few minutes after this was served to the 100 or so guests in the conference room, you can hear the clink of the fork on to the ceramic plate resonating all over the room... corroborating what I have observed. :-S
